Eulex Desk recognises the OIB (Croatian personal identification number). It masks personal data before anything is sent to the AI model or to an external tool such as web search, so a client’s data never leaves your context. Available on the Pro plan and above.
Account → Privacy & PII — Off / Standard (recommended) / Strict, and the demo preview of the review screen.
Modes
One anonymisation mode, set under Account → Privacy & PII, covers every outbound flow until you pause it for a particular conversation.
| Mode | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| Off | Everything goes to the AI model and external tools in plaintext, whether typed or contained in a document. |
| Standard (recommended) | Detects and masks personal names, organisations, addresses, and other identifiers in both text input and documents. No review prompt. |
| Strict | Same detection and masking as Standard, plus a review modal before every AI call — for every typed message and every document, whether uploaded, imported, or created by the assistant. If the review cannot run, nothing is sent. |
What is detected: people, email addresses, phone numbers, locations and addresses, organisations, payment card numbers, IBANs (including Croatian IBANs), the Croatian OIB, company registration numbers (MBS), court case numbers, postcodes, and dates.
- Review modal — detected entities are grouped by type (People / Organisations / OIBs…). Items left unchecked stay hidden from the AI; tick an item to expose it, and enter a reason for the audit trail.
- Status badge — “PII Shield active” plus the number of hidden entities is shown in the conversation. Placeholders in the answer are restored to the original values on your device only.
- Demo preview — the settings page can show what the review screen looks like on a sample contract before you switch Strict on.
The shield also covers tabular reviews and column suggestions. It does not cover the instructions and source notes of a context, which go to the model verbatim.
Scenario — Croatian case — A lawyer uploads a claim with employees’ full names, OIBs, and addresses. In Strict mode, Eulex Desk shows the list: 3 people, 2 OIBs, 1 address. She leaves everything masked, so the AI works over pseudonyms (
PERSON_1,OIB_1) and the personal data never leaves her context.
